  This is an area for pictures of the Standard Gauge locomotives & cars.

  Most of these models are scratch-built by Barry, to model the larger size

  equipment, still in 22.5 scale ratio.  This is true G scale Standard Gauge.

       ( unlike firms that make “Standard Gauge” models but use the smaller 1/29 or 1/32 scales, not G  )

  7/27/08     -  L-131 makes it’s Maiden Voyage around the main

 

  4/15/08     -  Standard Gauge Tank Cars now being built

 

  4/5/08     -  Drives and Boiler Work on the L-131 project

 

  9/2007b    -  the finished and painted C-41 Locomotive

 

  9/2007a    -  the drives for the L-131 are being built

 

  8/2007c    -  the C-41 Engine and Tender come together

 

  8/2007b    -  C-41 Back head details and Cab work

 

  8/2007a    -  work on the C-41 Boiler has started

 

  7/2007     -  the C-41 running gear gets more detail work

 

  6/2007     -  work on a C-41 2-8-0 Consolidation has started

 

  5/2007     -  the largest D&RGW loco,  work starts on a L-131 tender

 

 12/2005    -  completed 36 foot L & N Hopper car,  painted & lettered

 

 11/2005    -  the initial work on the 36 foot L & N Hopper car

 

 10/2005    -  completed Little River 2-4-4-2 engine, painted and ready

 

 9/2005     -  Little River #126, a 2-4-4-2 locomotive is started on

 

 7/2005     -  Barry starts work on the Little River 2-4-4-2 tender

 

 5/2005a    -  40 foot Box cars,  the first car is painted and in service

 

 4/2005b    -  40 foot Box cars, details from brake wheels to rigging

 

 4/2005a    -  40 foot Box cars, from casting pieces to assembled car

 

 3/2005     -  40 foot Steel Sided Gondolas,  construction and finished

 

 2/2005     -  Big Standard Gauge Cabooses,  plus a Magnus S1 diesel

 

 10/2004   -  The 2-6-6-0 Mallet is painted and impressive!

 

 9/2004     -  The 2-6-6-0 Mallet is finished and ready for painting.

 

 8/2004     -  Progress on the Standard Gauge 2-6-6-0 engine and tender.

 

 4/2004     -  The Standard Gauge Idler cars are built.
