scratch built in 1/22.5 scale


From May 2017 thru May 2018,  Barry scratch-built a set of Standard Gauge diesels in 1/22.5 scale,
to run on Gauge 3 track.  They are DCC and sound equipped and include interiors.  Each model is
just over 40 inches long. The prototypes were built for the Rio Grande and Southern Pacific railroads and imported from German in 1961, to test a new "diesel hydraulic" drive system, not common in the United States.   Below are 5 links to prototype photos and articles about them.
