In May, Barry started work on his next big project, the construction of two Krauss Maffei ML-4000 series, diesel locomotives.  These were German built engines, sold to the Rio Grande and the Southern Pacific railroads, in 1961. 
The work proceeded in to June.  The models are being built from scratch, in 1/22.5 scale, which means they will run on Gauge 3 track  (LGB track is Gauge 1).  These photos and the following will show construction progress.
