Smoke Stack & Smokebox - July 10th 2021

Guys:   I know I have been slacking on getting these updates out, but all of my thoughts have been on how the boys are going to create parts for the engine. I am sure you do not do this, but I lay in bed at night just thinking about how to design stuff and what materials to use. I know I have said this before, but this has been the most diffucult project the boys have ever done. I may even need a vacation once this is done......
I decided to focus my attention towards the front of the loco boiler, so that the engine would start to look more like a locomotive than a missle launcher or cannon. The smoke box door was fairly straight forward for the boys to build, so it went fairly quickly. The stack on the other hand is totally different than anything else the shop has ever turned out. Trying to get the details correct for the non functioning smoke deflector was not easy, but the job is done and we are moving on with the project...  -  Barry
