Valve Gear - Jan 10th, 2021

The guys have been very busy making and fitting the valve gear to both chassis. I know it does not look much different from the last time, but the details take time
and I do not want to skip any of them. It is amazing to me how long it takes the boys to do the work! I wonder if they are slacking behind my back, but I guess
as long as they get the work done, I should not complain. I know that this project has been in the works for a while, but there is still so much more to come.
The more I look at the plans, the more I see that needs to be done. My goal is to make this the most detailed engine to roll out of the shop in a long time, so
stay tuned for more. I try to keep service of the chassis in mind, while construction is going on, so that the maintenance boys do not pull all their hair out
when they do their thing. I keep thinking that I will have the boys start on the boiler soon, but the chassis is nowhere complete, so I have decided that
I am going to have the boys work on the trailing truck truck, before we move up to the front engine.
