Completed Locomotive  -  August  2023

The FEF3 844 has now joined the motive power fleet of the CWRR!  With the Big Boy 4018 by her side, the 844 is ready to show off her stuff!  With the paint now dry and the Circus City Decals applied with care, the crew lit the match and waited for a full head of steam in the boiler, so the engine could ran light out on to the main line.  With the lights on, the crew watched carefully as the engine entered the tunnels and tight clearance points along the line.  As the engine came out of the tunnel, the bell was ringing and the whistle blaring, to celebrate the new engine.
All of the Rockwood towns folk came out to the station to see the sight and sounds of the mammoth motive power.  With all the excitement of the time, one of the girls in the office asked if the engine was going to the Narrow Gauge Convention at the end of the month.  I had to explain to her that this was a standard gauge engine, and that I would be the laughing stock of the convention, if I brought it to the meet!
Well, there you have it, a completely scratch built project for the books.  Lots of you have asked me what is next?  Wow, that is a great question.  I am not 100% sure.  I guess we will just have to wait and see what my next dream is....
Thanks so much for your time and interest in Bogs Locomotive Works! Still building the trains of my dreams, since 1987, Barry, chief of everything BLW
