The Drivers - Sept 27th, 2020


So begins the Big Boy project, from ground up.  In this case, with the  d r i v e r s  of which there are 16 of them on the Big Boy.
And like other locomotive builds, Barry starts from the wheels and goes up.  This time needing custom built drivers for this engine.
Here you can see the first and second attempts using 3D printing = no good.  Then a new approach, making metal "tires" on a lathe,
