With the side walls cut out and rivets added, Barry made a mold, so he could then cast the sides for both cars.
The car body were assembled.  Next came the underframes, then trucks were mounted.  The cars are coming together quickly.

I know what you are thinking!  The boys are slacking off again on the RPO project.  Well, I am somewhat to blame.  I had the boys push the project to the side to help out some other fellow railroaders on a couple of loco repair projects, but with those back out the door, it is full steam ahead on the two RPO's!  The boys in the casting shop made the molds for the sides, and used some of the molds from the FM project to create the four walls.  The boys used some of the same molds of the FM for the car ends and roof.  I hope this is a quick project, but I have decided to build two of these cars, so molds will be made of the sides and other parts.  With the windows and doors installed, I had the boys mount the trucks to the underframe, and attach the couplers to the ends, so it looks like a respectable piece of rolling stock.  There is much more details to come, as I am going to have the boys finish up the bottom, before they start the roof section.  - -  Barry
