High Line Bridge Installed

On Saturday, September 8th, 2001, the Howe Truss bridge was installed on the "High Line", replacing the temporary structure that spanned the big foyer window. Also notice the tunnel portals get entrances and tunnel lining.

The first train over the new Howe Truss bridge.	A temporary 1x4" bridge was located here originally	Over the foyer window, its just 14ft down to the floor.	Its hard to see all of the details, but they are there.
This does Barry works on the bridges, via a 12ft ladder.	This is the view you see as you walk up the sidewalk.	A close-up view, with the advantage of the 12ft ladder.	Tunnel Portals and lining thru the wall are included.
Wood retaining walls will hold back the scenery.	Look inside a tunnel, and you will see the lining.	From the Silverton room, we see both tunnels and lining.	A close-up for details.
