Summer Train Show

A train show for the Model Railroader and the Railfan,
the Collector and Train Buff. A show for the entire family!

This show was held once a year on the "first Saturday in June".

This show ran for TEN YEARS (as I planned) .
The last year for this show was in 2000.

Held in the Live Oak Civic Center, 8101 Pat Booker Road
The San Antonio Summer Train Show pioneered this facility and was the first Train Show there

At the one of the last shows, there was 198 vendor tables for your shopping selection. These vendors ranged from model railroad dealers to personal modelers selling extra items, from hobby stores to media publishers. Hobby scales covering N to G scale. Plus prototype railroad antiques and various memorabilia w as on-hand, like books, videos, caps and T-shirts...

Several model railroad layouts were on display, several not seen before. Plus included the first "link-up" of the Austin and San Antonio N-Trak clubs.

This show also brought back the 'model and photo contests' to the area,
something that had not been held in San Antonio for several years.
