While not often found in the same train, because of different "gauges" of tracks, it was possible with an idler (transition) car. Here you can also see the three rails of "dual gauge" trackage. Note the Gramps car sits to the left, on the two narrow gauge rails, while the SHPX right the outer standard gauge rails. |
