The Coon Creek Railroad

Track Expansion  -  2002

As the size of the 'Alamo Gang' mini-meets grew, the number of trains running on the railroad grew.

It was not uncommon to have 3, 4 or 5 trains running at one time.  We needed more track !

CCRR_20020622j.jpg   To say  THANK  YOU  to Bob & Alma, various members of the Alamo Gang pitched in and purchased materials to expand the railroad.  This included a new main line route that went around the shop itself, plus the addition of a passing siding in the shop/yard area.   CCRR_20020622k.jpg

Notice the elevated fill needed for a level main line.
