"Here is the T12 ready for it's first journey on the railroad. The boys pushed it out of the shop and fired her up. After a few adjustments,

she was back up the the San Juan passenger train, and given the highball to pull out. The boys were a little worried that the little engine

would not be able to pull the train up the grade, and their thoughts were confirmed when the train hit the first grade. The boys backed

the train back to the station and let the disappointed passengers off and took the engine back to the shop. They lifted the whole engine up

and removed the rear drivers. The boys replaced the rear drivers with a special traction tire driver on both wheels, and reassembled the engine.

They then recoupled the train and headed for the hills! With great effort, the little engine that could, made it up the grade to the delight of the

passengers and crew! Since this engine is most likely going to switch with the 479 for passenger duty, I told the boys to keep it clean for now,

or at least until the new wears off....  I am just happy that the engine is  now running and out of the shop! The are so many other projects on

the shop floor right now that we need space for. Well, there you have it, another BLW project for the books. Until we talk again, keep

the train on the track and heading in the right direction! Thanks for your time and interest in BLW."
