The first locomotive, built by Mel.  It is powered by a 18 hp twin cylinder gas engine and has a hydrostatic transmission.  The loco has evolved into a fairly complete locomotive with a cab that most people can fit inside with working lights, a bell, a horn and sanders for better traction.  The cab has a removable sliding door that can be closed up to keep out the weather or taken off in the summer to keep the engineer cool.
